Professional and Secure

Latrobe Valley Travel is not only a fully licensed and accredited travel agency and member of the Travel Compensation Fund, but also meets the stringent requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

A member of the NAITA (National Association of Independent Travel Agencies) Group, Latrobe Valley Travel is guaranteed access to the buying power of the Jetset organisation.

The agency is held in high regard, by both its clients and the travel industry, having strong repeat clientele and providing services to a number of corporate clients.

Latrobe Valley Travel assisted in the establishment of Hazelton Airline’s operations at Latrobe Regional Airport and provided airport-handling services to several regional airlines for a seven-year period. With exposure to the operational side of airline services, Latrobe Valley Travel has a unique appreciation of issues that are not normally known to travel agents.

Service Objectives

With comprehensive industry knowledge and a keen focus on meeting clients’ needs, Latrobe Valley Travel prides itself in providing a complete travel service. Ensuring that clients not only receive all the support, advice and guidance they require, but also get the best value for money.

To maintain this high level of customer service, Latrobe Valley Travel ensures that:

  • Consultants are paid on a salary basis, with no individual incentives. This guarantees that all customers are treated equitably and that advice provided is balanced, not targeted to maximising individual consultant’s earnings/rewards.
  • Each booking is managed by one consultant, which guarantees that all aspects of the booking are integrated and potential for error is minimised.
  • In addition to automated systems, a manual record of all bookings is kept. This means that regardless of the status of the on-line reservation system, clients with a booking inquiry can be provided with an answer immediately.

To assist clients, who are not available during normal business hours, Latrobe Valley Travel offers a ‘By Appointment’ after hour’s service and 24-hour emergency availability.

In addition to its full-time travel consultants who have significant experience in both the domestic and international travel markets, the agency also employs two part time business staff. Employee development is ongoing, with all staff regularly attending seminars and educational experiences to strengthen their product and destination knowledge.

Community Focus

Demonstrating a strong commitment to the local community, Latrobe Valley Travel staff hold leadership positions in local organisations including Rotary, the Latrobe Regional Airport Committee of Management (Honorary Chairperson) and the Morwell Chamber of Commerce and Industry (President).
